What is an emergency profile ?
The emergency profile gathers all the vital information emergency services need to save your life.
- It’s vital to have an emergency profile if you have a chronic disease, severe allergies or vital medical conditions.
- It’s highly recommended to have one even if you are in good conditions. It will help paramedics do their job better and faster in case of an accident.
What information can I store in my emergency profile ?
- Personal information.
- Address.
- First aid information.
- Medical conditions.
- Allergies to food or medicine.
- Medications.
- Emergency contacts.
- Doctors.
- Spoken languages.
- Insurance.
- Vaccinations - immunization.
Who maintains the information on my emergency profile ?
- It is the responsibility of the account holder to ensure that emergency profiles are accurate and up-to-date.
How do I keep the emergency information with me ?
- By keeping with you a medical alert device.
- Each device has a unique QR code, id and pin code, which can be linked to your emergency profile.
What is a medical alert device ?
A medical alert device is the physical link with your emergency profile. It can be:
- Cards
- Bracelets
- Stickers
- Fit bit tags ©
- Apple Watch tags ©
What happens if I lose a medical alert device?
- You can deactivate your device in “My products” panel.
- Medical alerts can be activated and deactivated at any time.
Do you sell my information to third parties ?
No. We don’t sell your information to anyone.
How do you make money ?
We make money by selling the medical alert devices.
How do you keep my information secure ?
Our system has been designed with security in mind.
- MedeHX utilizes state of the art infrastructures and all communications are conducted using secure HTTPS protocol.
Where are your datacenters ?
Data centers are located in Germany. Data centers comply with the highest security standards.
Is my information private ?
All the information you input into the system is private by default.
- You get to decide what information is shown in your emergency profile.
- You can make it public and private at anytime you want.
Note: Picture and first aid information are always shown in the emergency profile. Emergency service can access this information if they have physical access to your medical alert device.
How can emergency services access my information ?
There are 2 ways to access:
1- Scan the QR code on the medical alert device.
a. Enter the PIN code on the medical alert device.
2- In the Emergency section in www.medehx.com
a. Search by id and pin code.
What is a QR Code ?
A QR code is a type of bar code. QR codes can be read by any QR code scanner or QR code reader, typically on a smartphone or tablet, and converted into a URL that connects the scanning device to a unique online medical profile.
- Each Qr code is unique and protected by a 6-digit id and 4-digit pin number.
How do I setup an emergency profile ?
3- Fill in your emergency profile.
4- Select the information you want to be visible.
5- Buy a medical alert device. Store
6- Go to “My products” and link your profile with your medical alert device.
7- Click on “Emergency profile” to ensure you only show the data you want.
8- Maintain the medical alert device with you at all times.

Can I set up emergency profiles for my children ?
Yes. You can create profiles for each family member.
- MedeHX is especially useful for children because your contact information is available immediately in case the unexpected happens.
What form of payment do you accept ?
We accept credit cards and PayPal as payment. Checks and money orders are not accepted.
